PM Modi on Operation Sindoor: “India Won’t Tolerate Terror or Nuclear Blackmail”

In a national address on Monday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam. Modi condemned the killing of innocent civilians, including families with children, and emphasized that India had drawn new red lines against terrorism.
He declared that Operation Sindoor was not just a military response but a firm national policy—a message that any attack on India would be met with force, regardless of where it originates. Modi firmly stated that India would not tolerate nuclear threats or treat state sponsors of terror as separate from terror groups.
He said Pakistan, after suffering unexpected damage to its military and terror infrastructure in India’s counterattacks, turned to the international community for help. India suspended Operation Sindoor only after Pakistan signaled it would stop further aggression. The Prime Minister said India is now closely watching Pakistan’s actions.
PM Modi also underlined that India’s strong air defence neutralized Pakistani drone and missile attacks, and in just three days, Indian forces crippled key Pakistani airbases and terror hubs. He said, “Pakistan tried a border war—we struck them at the heart.”
On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Modi reminded the world that peace follows strength. He reiterated that any future talks with Pakistan would focus only on terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
